The Alliance for Heart Failure Patients began as a dream of HF patient Bruce Paris. It was through his own experiences with HF and his passion to help others that created AHFP. It is with great sadness that we must announce the dissolution of AHFP. It has been two years since Bruce passed away and in those two years we have struggled to keep his dream alive. We have come to the end of our limited resources and have no other options available to us but to close our doors. Bruce’s vision of working with health care providers to support HF patients through education, group support meetings, and a personal touch will continue on with the medical professionals at Mercy Hospital.
Everyone at AHFP, our supporters, and friends wish all of you continued success managing your HF. Amidst all of his daily struggles, Bruce never gave up and he strived to make the best out of his illness while helping others manage theirs.
Please remember Bruce and never give up.
